Their use is governed by University policy, trademark law, and the Education Code of the State of California Section 92000. The University's trademarks are to be used only as permitted by University policy and law and are not to be used by third parties without prior written permission, as outlined in UCSB policies on the Use of the University's Name and Use of the University's Unofficial Seal.
